Let's start year 2017!

Happy new year of 2017 my friends! I hope you all had a beautiful or crazy or quiet or what ever you felt like celebrations last night and now all ready to hit another year. Why I love New Year celebrations because you get another chance (not really of course, you get that every single morning when you wake up), but when it is a switch between years it feels more official and obligations (or hopes for a change) are higher. And lets admit it we all want to believe in fairytale. Since having 2 little kids however our celebrations switched to a very quiet, sitting on the couch and waiting for some fireworks mode, but the resolutions are there to be made regardless. So here are some of my biggest ones on the list (the list of resolutions is usually way too long to even attempt to follow lol). 1. Baby steps in everything. Ok, I have to say that if I get an idea in my had (or 100s of them) I get too overwhelmed by all the things that need to be done that no so much actually gets done at the end, because my focus is way too broad. So this year I've decided to take baby steps and little tasks at everything and do my very best at each little thing without thinking too much about the end result or bigger steps I need to take. Will see if that helps me to achieve more goals. 2. Compare yourself only to yourself. As many people and artists included I often see others' work and compare my work to theirs. And a lot of times I get a bit disappointed that I am not doing as well as someone else I follow. Silly, I know. This year I am going to focus on comparing my work today only to my work yesterday and try to get better from previous myself. So there are going to be only me and me on the scales (or ladder I should say). I like that resolution, I am working on that already and it gives me a lot of strength and inspirations. Yessss! 3. get used to the fact that not everybody likes you. So, this one is a tough cookie for me as I always have been and still do get influenced by other people's opinions of me or what I do and how I do it. It needs to stop. Its not healthy for me, its not helping me, it's rather regressing type of influence. I don't need that in my life. I have to say that I love getting any feedback about my work of course, if I did something great or wrong/faulty/ didn't meet expectation of a customer etc. It is different, it helps me to improve my quality. But anything on personal level is totally irrelevant.

Welcome to my blog!

Here I am sharing some sneak peeks of my work in progress and all the other everyday events that have an inspirational sparkle for my creative life.
