Minimalism and Crafty life Challenge. Intro.

Hello, so its been a long time since my last post, I am really not good with all the blogging life. I admire and take my hat off to all the mums with little children that manage to run their own businesses, blogs, websites etc. Obviously I have a lot to learn still. So far I only manage to do some actual toy making about an hour or 2 at night a few times a week, so the process is taking me forever. But enough of winging, lets do something useful. I am working on a collection for Teddies Online show that runs in March, more details can be found here . Unfortunately for my followers I cannot show any of the items before the show as part of the rules of the show, but at the same time its pretty exciting to show some brand new pieces to everyone at the same time. So stay tuned for some new toys. All I can say is that I am hoping to make my second home Aussieland proud :)

Now to the challenge. For the past couple of months I have been into decluttering, purifying, minimising thing, but mostly in my house, clothes, possessions etc. I have never actually did a proper clean out of my craft supplies that occupied my studio. Being a creative person I naturally kept collecting tools, materials, misc stuff just in case that one day I will need it. The truth is that I rarely need all those things I bought or got "just in case", so they were just collecting dust on my shelves and probably felt bored of being useless. So I have decided to give them another life in donating or giving it for free to other craft people that maybe actually use these items. I got this idea from decluttering my girls toys. The concept of having less toys to stimulate creativity and imagination in children made me wonder if its possible to apply the same approach to craft supplies. My ideal studio would have only items I use all the time, everything visible and clear. Of course its just a dream, but I have started taking baby steps towards it. And to start it off I will be using all the parts of unfinished toys from my Uninspired box. This is a box where I have all the unfinished projects in needle felting. Instead of buying more wool or starting a new project from scratch, I am going be using only pieces I already have. There are a lot of them, so the challenge might take a while, but will see how it goes and adjust it down the track. Here is a video post I've made about the subject, if you are interested in this challenge, please subscribe to my channel to get the latest video uploads regarding the process. I will be filming the process of making a new toys from the pieces I have.
